Situated on the " Palm Riviera" in the Southern Marche region, Grottammare's claim to faimis its 5 km long sandy beach. Its pretty pedestrian zone is beautified by gorgeous art deco villas from the turn of the last century.

Grottammare's magic can be contributed to its palmtrees, flowerbeds and well taken care of little parks. The medieval borgo perched on the hill above town has beautiful old buildings and a gorgeous view of the ocean. The church of Santa Lucia was built in 1557 to honor the city's most illustriuous son, Pope Sixtus V.

During the summer there is a rich cultural program, amongst which the Nationale Festival of Humour.
